NEW YORK—Business Technology Partners (BTP), a premiere New York City-based IT consulting and managed services firm, announced a strategic relationship with Control4, a leader in IP-based, ZigBee wireless control, automation, and entertainment systems. The relationship enables the companies to provide a complete end-to-end solution, including technology design and integration of entertainment and control systems for hotels and mixed-use commercial developments.

The implementation of Control4 technology enhances the hotel guest experience by providing luxury, convenience, and enhanced services options. Through the use of a single remote, hotel guests will be able to operate the television and entertainment options, call room service, open and close the drapes, adjust the room temperature, turn off the lights, etc.

Hotels will also directly benefit through positive impact to the bottom line as features will help to generate additional revenue for hotel services and amenities (i.e., ordering room service). Additionally, the Control4 systems can help reduce operating costs by delivering energy conservation control and streamlining the workflow and order process for the hotel staff.

Significant Step Forward

“With this strategic relationship, BTP and Control4 will be on the cutting edge in designing, developing and deploying wireless entertainment and control systems with serious application for hotels and other types of commercial hospitality businesses,” said Joshua Aaron, president of BTP.

Control4 Suite Systems provides the hospitality industry a practical, reliable automation operating system that is affordable. For new property construction, operators will see significant savings in construction costs because the wireless architecture eliminates virtually all in-room low voltage wiring, conduit, labor and materials for lighting systems and other traditionally wire-based control systems. Furthermore, Control4 will aid in green building development, as evidenced by its energy efficient solutions, which are available for installation in both new construction and most retrofits of properties meeting LEED certification building standards.

“We are extremely pleased about our new strategic relationship with Business Technology Partners expanding the adoption of Control4’s Suite Systems in modern hotels,” said Jim Gist, vice president of hospitality at Control4. “The BTP team brings a wealth of expertise in technology infrastructure design and voice/data networking that, coupled with our hospitality products and solutions, will enable more development teams to seamlessly integrate Control4 technology.”

BTP serves as the lead IT consultant, working on the design of the IT systems and solutions with each project’s development team. Furthermore, BTP has specific knowledge in the installation and oversight of IP Communications, wireless technologies, hotel administration systems, hospitality applications and high-end audiovisual and security systems.
